ROSEYE – a young funk-soul band, 5 people, led by the Scottish-Australian saxophonist and vocalist Tallulah Rose; international team, based in Amsterdam.
They were entered into the Deutscher Jazzpreis in the Newcomer international category. Now we are waiting for the shortlist announcements. “ROSEYE has taken the scenes in the Netherlands by storm. From the very beginning of 2025, they will take the stages of Europe by storm. In the Netherlands, they have already played at festivals such as North Sea Jazz, Into the Great Wide Open and Grachtenfestival, attracting audiences beyond jazz. Their “godmother” is Candy Dulfer, who invited the band to perform together during her residency at Cafe Dauphine in Amsterdam. In the fall of 2024, they played at the JazzUp festival in Nancy, selected as one of six bands from all over the continent. In January 2025, they will perform at ESNS in Groningen and open Celtic Connections together with world music star Jupier & Owkwess. In April 2025, they will embark on their first Northern European tour, including the Estonian Jazzkaar festival and the Finnish April Jazz festival. Interviews with band members were published in the Dutch Jazzism magazine and the Polish Jazz Forum, gaining international recognition.”
ROSEYE is supported and cared for by Candy Dulfer, who played with Prince among many other legends. Their music has been played on many radio stations, notably BBC Radio 6, BBC Radio 3 and NPO Jazz and Soul.
