We are pleased to invite everyone to our artistic events as part of the 9th edition of JAZZtrzÄ™bie in Miasto Jastrzębie-Zdrój, which will take place on April 26-30 and May 12. We certainly have unforgettable moments for you.
The star of this year’s edition of the festival will be Grazyna Auguscik, an outstanding Polish vocalist permanently residing in the USA. It is here that the premiere of her latest album “2 The Light” will take place. We are very happy that the saxophonist and performer Håkon Kornstad, who did not perform with us during the 2020 festival due to the pandemic, will play this year. A new look at contemporary improvised music will be presented by Kamil Piotrowicz’s Sextet. All the concerts mentioned above will take place in the wonderful PSM concert hall. At the Borynia Palace, a Gambian singer and master of the kora will perform with his trio Buba Badjie Kuyateh. An interesting event will be a concert in the spaces of the Institute of Heritage and Dialogue – Łaźnia by the trio Strączek/Kaletka/Dobosz, which will play to the cosmic visualization made live by Damian Jabłka. The entire festival will be opened by students of the Music Point Artistic School from Jastrzębie, who will play a concert on the balcony in the former sanatorium building in the Zdrój district, followed by a Jam Session of students of the Academy of Music in Katowice. We hope it will be an unforgettable edition.
