A solo recital for soprano saxophone is a rarity on a global scale.
This is a very important, personal and virtuoso project of Adam Pierończyk, which has been existing for 10 years. Beautiful sound and melodies, as well as rare expeditions exploring the generally inaccessible registers of this demanding instrument. Original improvised music.
Adam Pierończyk has so far released almost 30 albums under his own name, including three solo albums on soprano saxophone: “The Planet Of Eternal Life” recorded in the 15th-century Gothic ruins in Peitz, Germany (Jazzwerkstatt Berlin label, 2013), “Oaxaca Constellation”, recorded in Mexico, in the former monastery of San Pablo in Oaxaca (2021), which includes 35 miniatures, and “On The Way” (2023). This year, for the 19th time, he was chosen Soprano Saxophonist of the Year by Jazz Forum magazine .
In the Solo version, Pierończyk has so far appeared in unusual and prestigious places in many world metropolises, such as: Tokyo, Paris, London, Berlin, New York, New Orleans, Sao Paulo, Brasilia, Mexico, Tehran, Casablanca, Oaxaca, Rabat , Frankfurt, Hamburg, Prague, Budapest, Vienna, Zurich and almost all over Poland.
